Concordia Baseball Team Scores 20 Runs In Double-Header Sweep

Austin, Texas-Concordia University Texas outscored the Eagles a combined 20-4 in a double-header Saturday in American Southwest Conference play.

Concordia (5-2, 3-0 ASC) took a 9-3 game one win and then completed the weekend sweep with a 11-1 victory in the nightcap. 
    
In game one, Ozarks (2-5, 0-3 ASC) held a 3-1 lead after two complete innings, but Concordia scored three runs in back-to-back frames to take a 7-3 advantage. Freddy Prince doubled in a run in the second for the Eagles. Ozarks recorded four hits in the game. Tyler Erickson (0-1) took the loss.
    
In game two, Concordia scored three runs in the first and two runs in the second and the Eagles went scoreless until the sixth inning. Taylor Parker drove in the team's only run on a fielder's choice. John Singler finished 2-for-4. Grady Finley (1-1) took the loss on the mound.

Ozarks will host Howard Payne University in conference action February 28 and March 1.
