Freddy Prince Named ASC Hitter of the Week

Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks senior right fielder Freddy Prince was named the American Southwest Conference Hitter of the Week, it was announced Monday by ASC Media Relations Director Jimmy Glenn.
    
Prince, a native of Jonesboro, Ark., shared the honor with Mississippi College's Hunter Bolin. The 6-foot-3, 175-pound Prince delivered a two-out game-winning hit in the bottom of the seventh to propel Ozarks to a 1-0 win in game one of their series against Hardin-Simmons. Prince finished with week 7-for-16 with six RBI and five runs scored. Prince had three multi-hit games, including a 2-for-6, 3-RBI performance against Austin College April 15, during the week. Both of those hits were for extra bases. He later had a pair of back-to-back two-hit games in the Hardin-Simmons series.
    
He leads the team in batting (.336), hits, (43), total bases (52), slugging percentage (.406), doubles (9) and runs (30). On the season, he has accounted for 13 multiple-hit games. 
    
He was named to the All-Conference First Team and D3Baseball.com All-Region Second Team last season.
    
He is a graduate of Westside High School where he was named All-State his senior season.
