Alpine, Texas- Sul Ross State recorded 27 hits and scored 19 runs to hand the Eagles a 19-2 loss Friday night in American Southwest Conference baseball action.

Sul Ross (6-11, 2-5 ASC) held a 6-1 lead after two innings and later exploded for eight runs in the fifth to put the game out of reach. Andrew Beck and Sam Shook each went 2-for-4 at the plate for Ozarks (4-11, 1-7 ASC).

Oscar Dominguez (1-2) received the loss.

Ozarks will finish its series against Sul Ross tomorrow in a double-header starting at 1:00 p.m.
