Beck, Singler Earn All-Conference

Clarksville, Ark.-Andrew Beck and John Singler received All-Conference baseball honors from the American Southwest Conference, it was announced Monday.

Beck, a sophomore shortstop, was named to the All-Conference First Team.  Singler, a senior pitcher, earned All-Conference Honorable Mention Team.     
    
Beck, a 6-foot, 195-pound native of Conway, Ark., finished among the ASC's top-10 in batting (.385), hits (57), triples (2), doubles (18), total bases (82), on-base percentage (.424) and slugging percentage (.554). He led the team in the aforementioned categories as well as RBI (21). He owned a 17-game hit streak during the season and is second all-time in doubles in a season with 18. He posted 17 multiple-hit games and six multiple-RBI games. He went 3-for-4 with four RBI against Howard Payne March 2, and had three four-hit games during the season. He scored three runs against Hendrix College April 21. Beck is a two-time All-Conference player.

Singler, a 6-foot-2, 205-pound native of Muskogee, Okla., went 3-5 with a 4.11 ERA in 2015. The right-hander led the team in innings pitched (65.2), wins (3) and complete games (4). He ended the season with 26 strikeouts. Singler threw a complete nine-inning game against Sul Ross State to receive the win March 14. He had a season-best five strikeouts against Concordia February 22 and did not allow an earned run in four innings of work against Howard Payne March 2. Singler was on the ASC All-Academic Team three times during his collegiate career.
