Baseball Program Adds Volunteer Assistant Coach

Clarksville, Ark.-U of O head baseball coach Aaron Gentry has announced the addition of Blake Urquhart as an assistant volunteer baseball coach, the university released Wednesday.

Urquhart, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, earned All-Conference and Academic All-Region during his collegiate career at St. Thomas University and Clearwater Christian. Urquhart has coached in Colorado the last three years at The Academy Charter School and Alexander Dawson High School. He also has experience working camps at the US Baseball Academy. Out of High School, Urquhart was named a Perfect Game top-200 prospect in Florida and was named to the preseason All-Florida Team. Urquhart earned his bachelor's degree in sports and health sciences from American Public University. Urquhart is completing his master's degree in sports administration from American Military University.

"I'm excited to add Coach Urquhart to our program," said Gentry. "His presence will improve our program in many ways and will allow our players to develop on the field as well as off the field. He is enthusiastic about baseball and understands the importance of performing well in the classroom. He will be able to jump right into our system and work very hard for our players."
