Big Fifth Inning Pushes Hendrix Past Ozarks

Conway, Ark.-Hendrix College scored five runs in the fifth inning to move past Ozarks 11-3 Wednesday night in non-conference baseball play.

Hendrix (10-9) led 4-0 after three, but then recorded four hits and scored five times to move in front 9-0. The Eagles (7-8) also issued three walks in that frame. Ozarks would eventually score in the seventh inning, but it was too late. The two teams combined to use ten pitchers. Jordan Allred (1-1) took the loss as the starter. Hendrix had 14 hits in the contest. Zack Walker was the only Ozarks player with multiple hits (2-for-3).

Ozarks will travel to Belton, Texas, to face Mary Hardin-Baylor March 19-20.
