Brady Taylor Named ASC Pitcher of the Week

Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks freshman pitcher Brady Taylor was named the American Southwest Conference co-Pitcher of the Week, it was announced Monday by ASC Media Relations Director Jimmy Glenn.
   
Taylor, a native of Plano, Texas, shared the honor with Texas-Tyler's Cason Adams. The 6-foot-1, 155-pound right-hander tossed a three-hit complete game shutout to lead Ozarks to a 1-0 win over Mary Hardin-Baylor March 19 in game one of a three-game series. Taylor allowed just five base runners and struck out three to earn his second win of the season. Taylor issued only one walk over seven innings and faced the minimum in the first, fourth, fifth and seventh innings. He improved to 2-1 on the mound.    

Taylor owns a 3.86 ERA in seven appearances.

He is a graduate of Plano West High School where he was named to the All-District Second Team as a senior.
