Ozarks (9-10), which trailed the entire game until the bottom of the eighth, faced a 6-0 deficit in the fifth before finally scoring. Ozarks began chipping away by scoring one run in the fifth and then exploded for five runs in the sixth to climb within 8-6. Trailing 8-1, Ozarks pounded out six hits in the sixth, highlighted by a Dean Igert two-run triple. Prior to that, Fielder Dufrene ripped a two-run single for the first runs of the frame, and Adam Winter followed with another single to make it 8-4. Igert then stretched his hit to left centerfield into a triple igniting the Ozarks' rally. Ecclesia (14-15) did get one run back in the seventh, but with momentum on its side, Ozarks relief pitcher Ely Gordon fueled the come back with a strong performance. Gordon worked the eighth inning in impressive fashion to receive his third win of the season. Gordon then handed it over to Barker in the ninth, who promptly forced a fly out. Barker did allow a two-strike hit against the next batter he faced, but recovered to get a force out at second base. Barker then froze Joey Dawes with a strike out looking for the final out. It was Barker's fourth save of the season.

Ozarks recorded only two hits through five innings, but finished with 14. Zach Walker, Andrew Beck, Zach Jones, Dufrene and Igert all had two hits. Acosta, Dufrene, Winter and Igert all posted two RBI.

Ozarks will host Howard Payne University March 24-25 in an American Southwest Conference three-game series.
