Richardson, Texas-The Eagles drove in a run in the fourth inning to even the game 1-1, but that would be all they could generate as Texas Dallas gained a 5-1 win Friday in American Southwest Conference play.

Zac Jones recorded an RBI single in the fourth to make it 1-1. Texas Dallas (14-12, 5-8 ASC) then responded with a run in the bottom half of the inning and never let go of the lead. The Comets added a pair of insurance runs in the seventh on two hits. The Comets recorded six hits through six and one-third innings against starter Brady Taylor. Texas Dallas out hit Ozarks (10-15, 3-10 ASC) just 10-9. Taylor (2-2) was tagged with the loss.

Andrew Beck paced Ozarks with a 3-for-4 performance at the plate.

Ozarks will finish its series tomorrow against Texas Dallas with a double-header beginning at 12:00 p.m.
