Texas Dallas Baseball Team Completes Three-Game Sweep

Richardson, Texas-Texas Dallas right-handed pitcher Brandon Lee threw a two-hitter to lead the Comets to a 7-0 win in game one and then the Comets three-hit the Eagles in a 10-0 game two win Saturday in American Southwest Conference play.

In game one, the Comets (16-12, 7-8 ASC) would also power four home runs in the contest. The Comets built a 4-0 lead after four and Lee had a no-hitter going until the fifth inning when Zach Jones broke it up with a single. Evan Castleberry followed with another single. A groundout put both runners in scoring position, but Lee recorded a strikeout and then forced another groundout to end the threat.

Luke Dyer (0-2) tossed five innings as the starter to receive the loss.

In game two, the Comets led just 2-0 after six and one-half innings, but scored three times in the bottom of the seventh. Texas Dallas then hit a grand slam in the eighth to force a run-rule win. Ely Gordon (3-4) went six and one-third innings as the starter.

Ozarks falls to 10-17 overall and 3-12 in the ASC.

Ozarks will travel to Conway to face Hendrix College April 12.
