2016 Winter/Spring ASC All-Academic Team Announced

Clarksville, Ark.-28 University of the Ozarks student-athletes were named to the 2016 winter/spring American Southwest Conference All-Academic Team, it was announced by the league office Tuesday.
    
To be eligible for ASC All-Academic honors, student-athletes must be classified academically as a sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student during the competition season and have been in attendance and completed at least one academic year (two consecutive semesters) at their institution. They must also have a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) as certified at the conclusion of the academic semester in which the ASC sport championship is held.

The baseball team placed seven athletes on the team: Jonathan Ellis, a junior physical education major from Plainview, Ark.; Grady Finley, a senior health science major from Sheridan, Ark.; Ricky Gallardo, a senior business administration major from Pasadena, Texas; Bobby Ketterer, a sophomore mathematics major from Bandera, Texas; Quinton Parker, a junior business administration major from Gravette, Ark.; Keaton Ramsey, a junior accounting major from Sheridan, Ark.; and Luke Vera, a junior accounting major from Bentonville, Ark.

The men's basketball team placed three athletes on the team: Spencer Coomer, a senior physical education/health science major from Piggott, Ark.; Josh Ferrell, a junior health science major from West Fork, Ark.; and Dillon Gash, a junior mathematics major from Elkins, Ark.     

The women's basketball team placed seven athletes on the team: Roseanna Ezell, a sophomore mathematics major from Quitman, Ark.; Karlee Henson, a junior management/biology major from Mulberry, Ark.; Ashley Hipps, a senior health science/psychology major from Greenland, Ark.; Bryanna Moltz, a junior health science major from Sheridan, Ark.; Libby Nepivoda, a senior English major from Lamar, Ark.; Sarah Scroggins, a junior business education/administration from Oark, Ark.; and Madison Sherrer, a sophomore psychology major from Mena, Ark.

The softball team placed four athletes on the team: Kayla Gray, a junior health science major from Pangburn, Ark.; Laken Gray, a junior health science major from Pottsville, Ark.; Beth Massey, a sophomore biology major from Cleburne, Texas; and Krysten Shavers, a junior business administration major from Waco, Texas.

The men's tennis team placed four athletes on the team: Aaron England, a senior biology major from West Fork, Ark.; Travis Leach, a senior mathematics major from Denton, Texas; Dillon Murray, a junior health science major from West Helena, Ark.; and Alix Tiegs, a senior communications major from Dallas, Texas.

The women's tennis team placed three athletes on the team: Elly Eibes, a senior biology major from Burlington, Iowa; Andrea Munoz, a junior management/marketing major from Honduras; and Amy Wallace, a senior English/political science major from Malvern, Ark.

Baseball player Keaton Ramsey was also named Academic All-Conference as a sports information student assistant, while basketball player Spencer Coomer and baseball player Grady Finley made Academic All-Conference as student athletic trainers.
