Sul Ross State Earns 6-2 Win over Baseball Team
Alpine, Texas-Senior pitcher Andrew Beck threw six innings, allowed only four hits and homered, but it wouldn't be enough as Sul Ross State University took a 6-2 win over the Eagles Friday night in American Southwest Conference play.

Sul Ross (13-22, 6-13 ASC) scored twice in the second inning and once in the third, but Ozarks (9-25, 3-17 ASC) answered with two runs in the sixth to trim the deficit to 3-2. Beck produced both runs with a home run. From there, Sul Ross scored security runs in the sixth, seventh and eighth innings. Ozarks and Sul Ross were even in hits (7) in the contest. The difference in the game was Ozarks left nine on base, while Sul Ross left three. Beck and Alex Smith each had two hits. Beck (0-1) was charged with the loss.

Ozarks will finish its series tomorrow with a double-header beginning at 1:00 p.m.
