GAME ONE
Overview:
Concordia University Texas completed a three-game sweep against the Eagles with a 6-2 victory Saturday. The Tornados opened the game with a 4-0 lead after three innings. The Eagles got on the scoreboard in the fourth when Chase Edwards doubled in Breyden Varner. Trailing 6-1, the Eagles cut into the lead with one run in the bottom of the sixth with an Edwards solo home run. But the Eagles couldn't generate any more runs. Blake Benson suffered his first loss of the season. He went 5.1 innings, while Corey Steward went 3.2. Steward allowed just one hit in his time on the mound. Edwards went 3-for-4 at the plate.
