GAME ONE
Overview:
Hardin-Simmons overcame a 4-3 deficit after three innings of play and scored four runs in the fourth to take the lead for good in a 9-5 win. The Eagles plated two runs to open the game behind a two-run single from Brooks Boshers. The Cowboys grabbed a 3-2 lead after two, but the Eagles answered with two runs in the third on a Boshers bases loaded walk and an RBI groundout from Tyler Arco. The Eagles went scoreless in the fourth and fifth innings, while the Cowboys scored six times. Rennie Arjona and Rey Lozano each had two hits.

GAME TWO
Overview:
Starting pitcher Blake Benson threw six shutout innings to lead the Eagles to a 3-2 win over Hardin-Simmons in game two. Benson worked eight innings allowing just one earned run to move his record to 3-0 on the season. Benson finished with four strikeouts and did not issue a single walk. Kris Sloane tossed a hitless final inning to receive his second save of the year. Benson received just enough offense to claim the win. Arco ripped a two-run double down the left field line to push the Eagles in front 2-0 in the fifth. Chase Edwards added to the lead with a solo home run in the sixth. Benson retired the side in the fourth and fifth inning. Arco had three hits and two RBI to lead the Eagles at the plate.
