Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks senior right-hander Kris Sloan was named the American Southwest Conference co-Pitcher of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
     
Sloan, from Dayton, Texas, recorded a pair of saves to help the Eagles win the series against Concordia Texas. Sloan worked out of a bases loaded jam to record the final out in game one and then closed the door against the Tornados in game two with a scoreless inning. The ace closer did not allow a run during his two appearances.

It is his second Pitcher of the Week honor of the season.

Sloan and the Eagles will play an American Southwest Conference series against Belhaven University April 1-2 in Clarksville.
