GAME ONE
Overview:
Abilene, Texas-McMurry University pitcher Derek Hostas threw a two-hit shutout to give the War Hawks a 1-0 win over the Eagles in game one. McMurry scratched across the game-winning run in the bottom of the sixth on a two-out single. The War Hawks then kept the Eagles off the board in the top of the seventh to secure the game. Blake Benson only allowed four hits until the sixth when the War Hawks recorded two. Benson fanned eight in his outing.

GAME TWO
Overview:
Josh Ropple ripped an RBI double in the tenth inning to push across the game-winning run and seal a 7-6 win for the Eagles. With one out, Luke Morrison sent a double down the right field line to put a runner in scoring position. The War Hawks then got a strikeout for the second out. But Ropple recorded a clutch hit to score Morrison. Carlos Castillo had a two-run double in the second to give the Eagles a 2-0 lead. In the fifth, Ben Cross blasted a three-run homer to increase the lead to 5-2. McMurry did battle back and score three runs in the sixth. The Eagles moved in front 6-5 in the seventh on a Morrison RBI single. The War Hawks would tie it in the eighth to eventually send the game into extra innings. Kris Sloan came out of the bullpen to receive the win in 2.2 innings of work. He only allowed one hit. Morrison and Cross each had two hits. 

Notables:
Ben Cross hit his second home run of the season.
