GAME ONE
Overview:
Brownwood, Texas-The Eagles struggled in the first inning and never recovered as Howard Payne University earned a 12-4 win in game one win Friday. Howard Payne scored five times in the first, highlighted by a grand slam to set the tone early. The Eagles did answer with two runs in the second on a Trey Vance solo home run and a Josh Ropple sacrifice RBI. Dru Didway homered in the fourth. Howard Payne led 8-4 heading into the sixth but put the game away with four runs in the frame. All seven hits in the game came from different Eagles.

GAME TWO
Overview: The Eagles had trouble slowing down the Howard Payne offense as the Yellow Jackets won game two 19-4. The Eagles led early, 2-0, but Howard Payne scored four in the second and seven in the third to pull away 11-2. Howard Payne had another big inning, this time coming in the seventh with six runs to put the game out of reach. The Eagles had four errors in the game and had five others in game one.
