Clarksville, Ark.- University of the Ozarks freshman baseball player Jake Estrada was named American Southwest Conference Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

Estrada, a native of West Covina, Calif., threw eight shutout innings and fanned nine in a 16-0 win against LeTourneau University. Estrada scattered five hits and walked three in his outing. The right-hander allowed just one hit through his first four innings. This season, he is 2-0 with a 2.61 ERA in 20.2 innings of work. 

The Eagles will travel to Texas this weekend for a three-game series against Hardin-Simmons March 3-4.
